SRS Airbag (Supplemental Restraint System)
The SRS Airbag system is one of the most important passive safety systems in a vehicle, designed to protect occupants in the event of an accident. Any error reported by the system must be treated as a priority to ensure proper operation and occupant safety.
An airbag is an inflatable cushion controlled by sensors and a control unit (ECU). In the event of a severe collision, it deploys instantly to reduce the risk of injury. The entire process occurs within milliseconds and is fully automatic, requiring no driver intervention.
Airbag module: Made of high-strength material, it inflates rapidly upon impact
Impact sensors: Detect collisions and send signals to the control unit
Control unit (ECU): Processes sensor data and triggers airbag deployment
Front airbags: Driver and front passenger
Side airbags: Protect the torso
Curtain / side curtain airbags: Protect the head
Knee airbags: Protect the legs
If the airbag warning light remains illuminated, it means the system is inactive or malfunctioning, which can compromise safety. Possible causes include a faulty sensor, airbag module, wiring circuit, igniters, or a registered impact event, all of which require prompt diagnosis and intervention.
Complete system diagnostics
Identification and repair of faults
Airbag control unit reset (Clear Crash Data) after accidents or accidental deployments
Programming and configuration of new or used airbag control units
Your safety is our priority. A fully functional airbag system can make the difference in the event of an accident.
